Paddy Buchanan was a founding member and lead singer/guitarist of Rock and Roll band "Marionettes", who were active from 2005 - 2015. The band released various singles, Including Shrinking Violets, Today a Dog Shall Die, Teaparties and Garden Song, as well as one full-length album - Wisdom to the Wise. 

During the time they were active Marionettes toured the UK regulary, their music was played on BBC Radio 1.
